She was born April 11, 1929, in Cherry Fork, a daughter of the late William Clarence and Sarah Edna Elizabeth Fornash McCartney. Gould was a homemaker and a member of Indian Camp United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School with the class of 1950. Gould sewed for Mountain Artisans and Appalachian Crafts. Gould was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a loving person to everyone she met. Wease Day and Pastor Kara Phillippi officiating.
